Presidential Candidate Offers A Peace-Through-Ecology
Process and Free Course
A Walk in the Park: Snake Oil or Advanced
Medicine for What Ails Us?
An accidental scientific discovery by Ecopsychologist
Michael J. Cohen, Ed.D. has become a much needed higher education
technology, free course and his U.S.A. Presidential Platform
for 2004. His organization is now offering specialized jobs,
courses, internships and career positions in this regard.
Cohen, an ecology Director at the Institute
of Global Education, observed in 1953 that when visiting an attractive
natural area people, over time, experienced stress reduction
along with greater peace and wellness. This moved him to investigate
what caused this beneficial phenomenon and how it might be made
readily available to relieve human and environmental suffering.
Author of several books on learning in
nature Cohen says "People are part of nature. Our excessively
nature separated lives stress and contaminate our psyche so we
unnecessarily inflict and suffer great personal, social and environmental
problems."
To reverse this destructive trend Cohen
has made a free course available, "Integrity 101,"
that any student can add to their transcript or resume. The course,
is located at http://www.ecopsych.com/integrity1instr.html
Cohen notes: "Research shows that
a sensory nature reconnecting process enables us to let our contaminated
thinking genuinely interlace with the recycling powers of nature.
Since these powers always purify and heal contamination, as a
reunited part of nature our psyche benefits from this process.
Insurmountable problems often fade as our discontents transform
into constructive participation."
Students or faculty interested in positions,
courses, certification or further information should visit Cohen's
