THE BASIC ELEMENT
In the farmers/rats incident in
Station 3 the
farmers discovered that rats had natural attractions to each
other that produced responsible behavior. This attracted the
farmers to spare the rats' lives.
The incident is but one of many that
demonstrate in nature, including human nature, natural
attractions support life, balance and unity.
This web site offers a process that helps you tap.into the power of natural attractions.
You may learn how to improve
the wellness of your relationships with yourself, others and
Earth, and teach this process to
others, too.
"The more I learn, the stronger
the feeling that all life is one becomes a tangible reality.......Much
of the pain in our culture is the result of acting as if we,
as a species, are independent and all important."
Gert B.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH NATURE
Are you still part of nature? Our society
teaches us to be separate from the natural environment. On average,
we learn to spend less than 12 of our 540,000 hours per lifetime in unmediated,
conscious connection to nature. We spend our remaining hours
in mental disconnection from nature's wisdom, balance and beauty.
That is unnatural.
Our estrangement from nature deprives
us of nature's normal nurturance of our inner nature and spirit,
that the farmers enjoyed. This helps explain why nature connected
people(s) do not display our runaway garbage, stress, and abuse
of substances, people and the environment. Like the farmers and
rats, their thinking and relationships are nurtured by nature's
balances.
We grow up having little conscious contact
with the powerful natural energies for support, unity and balance
that the farmers and the rats enjoyed. Without
being conscious of these energies, we can not think or act with
their balanced wisdom.
"I have changed from a victim to,
not only a survivor, but to fullness. I don't know how to put
this exactly. This fullness is a feeling of connectedness with
all, which brings contentment."
Judi M.
OUR NATURAL ATTRIBUTES:
Does your love for nature have unifying
powers?
Do you remember, in 1989, when two whales,
caught in the ice in Alaska, broke through the Iron Curtain?
To save the whales, opposing nations united. So did labor and
industry, corporations and environmentalists, spiritualists and
scientists. Close to a billion dollars was spent to save two
whales.
Does your love for nature have personal
healing powers?
Consider again what people experienced
through conscious sensory contact with nature as expressed
in Station 3 and in surveys and
their journals
They show that sensory connection with
nature nurtured wellness at every level. It made them better
human beings.
"The process is unique in that
it addresses human psychology as a part of nature that needs
mending. It has helped me release stress and I find that it teaches
me much that helps me in my dealings with other people and understanding
aspects of myself."
Mira F.
WHAT BASIC ELEMENT ARE WE MISSING?
Our society teaches us to conquer nature
within and around us. We learn to ignore the basic
element of relating to the natural
environment and
each other. It is this:
Thoughtful,
shared, sensory connections with attractions in nature improve
our thinking, relationships and spirit.
"Touching the oak outside my house
gives me an astonishing feeling of friendship. Being outside
in a lovely spot (my back yard) the basic element helped me overcome
a long-seated caffeine addiction."
