An Organic Psychology Report from an Online Course Participant
Greetings everyone,
I did the holistic Webstring Self-Discovery activity that requested me to find a natural attraction, get its consent to visit with it, and then write why I like or love that attraction. What attracted me continuously was a plant whose leaves were very feather-like. I have no idea as to what type of plant it is, but it made me feel very peaceful. I wrote:
"I love this plant because in it I find peace of mind, a meaningful seed of contemplation, and therapy".
Then, as per the instructions, I wrote "I love myself because in me I find the seed of peace of mind, meaningful contemplation and therapy".
I enjoyed this activity immensely; it was such an ego boost. Wow, talk about a shot in the arm. This trip is really all about me, because its all about nature, and all life! (lightbulb moment). Having the truth of this knowledge taken away is inconceivable at this point.
This activity not only lets me feel really good about myself, but it also allows me to feel really good about nature and all life! They become friends. Now this is therapy and health at its best!
Knowing I had missed my deadline for this activity, I felt urged to rush to the computer and share my experience. To my surprise and joy the plant urged me to stay.I feel this natural activity led me to feel as I do because the plant and I are one in Nature - there are webstrings connecting us. In our brief moment of blissful communion, we shared our love and appreciation for life. The plant took me out of the nature-separated world, and through the window to the source of the sun! I experienced both worlds.
The activity lead me to feel this way because I think that nature is truly where "God" speaks most clearly to us, and that this is truly our best guidance counsel. It is the most natural thing!
In my trustful thinking and feeling room/space that I've learned to make in my mind I placed:
"This activity led me to see alternative balanced interrelations (webstrings) between many different plants living together. It ignited a spark of hopefulness that this balanced living can be achieved in people communities, too. It helped me find a new awareness and love for all life."From this activity I see that it is reasonable to unashamedly have our sense of reason, language, and consciousness validate our hidden webstring connections with nature and enjoy the responsible rewards this whole brain connection produces.
