programs

Public Education: A Graduate Student Cooperative Requirement
To receive certification or a degree, students in the Cooperative are required to submit an essay or outline that describes 20 or more hours of specific things they have contributed towards educating the public about the ECHN program along with the results of their efforts, if known. RATIONALE Project NatureConnect makes a unique sensory contribution to well
being that is often omitted in traditional disciplines. It offers a sorely
needed missing component to most aspects of contemporary society; in turn, it receives and then provides financial assistance to those who recognize
its value.
The low cost of the program makes it easily affordable to a large number of people so that all who seek the training can obtain it.
Our
programs will continue and grow as long as students who appreciate them
support them in whatever way they can. The program's strength and
recognition increases the value of the student's training or degree in
it.
The program sustains itself by helping students use their written coursework to demonstrate its value and educate the public about it.
While some participants may not be
able to fully contribute financially, they, and all others, are encouraged to help with public education about
the value of nature-connected learning and relationships. To
this end, the social networking guides and resources, below, are available
to assist you. A strong first step is to add a paragraph to, and sign the PNC Petition to the United Nations.
As also stated elsewhere, when you complete the Orientation Course and other course activities
please copy and send the written results of your nature-connecting experience to appropriate links or outlets -
Another means to achieve this goal is to use quotes that are attractive
to you from the course books, the ecopsych.com and
naturalattractionecology.com websites and/or the submissions by others and yourself in the the courses. Then post them to your and/or other social media resources...Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, RSS etc. NOTE Doing this is part of the work/study hours required from of all students who seek financial assistance. You then describe what you have done, hours involved, and outcomes produced.
An example of a course activity response might be:
"On
a course I'm taking in nature-connected personal growth
(www.ecopsych.com) a fellow student wrote,
'I
discovered that sensory contact with natural areas through connective
activities makes me feel better about myself. When I enter into those
experiences I am better able to sort out what makes sense to me, and
what doesn't, about my everyday life. When I am confused I go to
Nature and, somehow, I am better able to get a sense of the truth in a
situation. That confirms that I am a real part of an ongoing
process, the process of life.'
This quote reminded me that feelings I recall from my youth come
from my innate, inborn abilities. I didn't have to learn them from a
book or be taught how to experience them. I feel them from my core and I recognize that I
was granted those abilities by the Source of Life." You may also modify and post, over time, the letters, below, to friends or others you think
might want to know about PNC. You may edit these letters, personalize them, or
change them to be coming from you if that will enhance your efforts:
Excellent letters/releases you can modify to any particular subect or person are located at

EMAIL LETTER SUBJECT: The Environmental Core of Health and Wellness
Is there anybody you know that is
seeking a powerful remedy, rather than a band-aid, for our troubles?
The
root of our most challenging problems has been identified. It is
this: an unreasonable and bonded bias in our thinking encourages us to
deteriorate the prime source of our personal, social and environmental
well-being.
Our bias pays us to ignore that:
-
the flow of natural systems, in and around us, has biologically and
psychologically designed us to be supportive citizens of the global
life community, not conquers of it.
- nature's supportive ways nurture, purify and restore us.
For
more than 99 percent of our lifetime our thoughts and senses are
disconnected from nature's restorative flow. Our excessive separation
of our psyche from nature's intelligence creates problems that we can't
solve. It makes us lose our inherent ability to think and feel like
nature's self-correcting powers work.
When we wisely choose to
reconnect our psyche with nature, we benefit from participating in the
wellness of the web-of-life and its ability to recycle our contaminated
thinking. This is demonstrated by the renewal that results from even a short walk in park.
In our excessively nature-separated lives,
it is the absence of nature's wisdom that underlies our great personal
and environmental dilemmas. Learning how to make lasting
sensory contact with nature enables our thinking to bind with nature's
healing ways and increase well-being. The process is a unique
ecological science. It gives nature the space it needs to help
our thinking transform our misguided bonds into sane personal and
environmental relationships. A powerful
tool to this end is available at http://www.ecopsych.com.

EMAIL LETTER SUBJECT: Nature's Path to Earth and Us in Peace
Nature's Path to Earth and Us in Peace
(Insert Present Date) June, 17, 2009: July
1, 2009:
Nature's Path to Earth and Us in Peaceful Well-Being.
July
1, 2009: This year marks the fiftieth anniversary of Educating,
Counseling and Healing With Nature (ECHN) a UNESCO approved, online,
holistic art and science developed by Michael J. Cohen, Ph.D. at the
Institute of Global Education, a United Nations consultant organization.
ECHN
is a significant restorative breakthrough. It helps us increase
well-being by regenerating 53 natural senses that we often ignore.
Their wellness enables us to think with nature's balance and beauty as
it nurtures us. To our loss, we usually learn to hurt and subdue
these natural senses.
Because ECHN applies the empirical science
of Natural Attraction Ecology, it provides us with a lasting remedy for
personal, social and environmental disorders. It is learned through
accredited courses, degree programs and jobs from Project NatureConnect
in conjunction with cooperating universities.
By giving us the
sensory means to create moments that let Earth teach, ECHN genuinely
connects us with Earth's renewing energies, in and around us.
This strengthens and enriches our contemporary psyche. It helps
us think with the grace of nature's self-correcting ways.
ECHN is a quantum leap
to supporting and strengthening nature's healing abilities in and
around us. It empowers our natural senses to recycle the
pollutants in our mind that bond us to our destructive relationships
and prevent positive change.
Engaging in ECHN is like forever
taking a powerful, spiritually renewing walk in the park. Through
it, we transform our disorders into the rewards of clear thinking,
wellness and peaceful balance.
ECHN may be added to any discipline or profession.
Special anniversary grants are available to new faculty or training applicants in the ECHN of Natural Attraction Ecology (NAE) <http://www.naturalattractionecology.com>.

SUBJECT: HOLISTIC HELP AVAILABLE
From: Project NatureConnect Institute of Global Education Special consultant to United Nations Economic and Social Council
Dear (Insert Recipient)
Educating, counseling and healing with nature enables you to remedy ( insert problem or issue)
Please help stop Industrial Society's runaway deterioration of nature in and around us. A
Powerful Sensory Art and Science is Certified: Holistic Educating,
Counseling and Healing With Nature Offers Jobs, Training and Degrees.
Those
of us who recognize that humanity and Earth are at risk also realize
that we must become more holistic, scientific and sensible if we are to
remedy our great troubles.
It is imperative that we become more
sensitive and accurate to increasingly contribute to well being at
every level. To this end, the science of Ecology must painstakingly
scrutinize all forms of valid evidence.
New evidence now
includes the fact that a critical contribution to life in balance
emanates from least fifty-three natural attraction sensitivities
inherent in natural systems, within and around us. These sensory
attractions are often overlooked yet they continually register in our
mind. They are key to nature's ability to self-correct, regenerate and
restore the web-of-life, including humanity.
To help us remedy
our many problems, the unique art of an empirical scientific model,
<http://www.naturalattractionecology.com>Natural Attraction
Ecology (NAE), enables our fifty-three natural senses to consciously
connect our psyche with nature's self-correcting powers. Never before
seen, this social technology enables our thinking to most sensibly
create balanced relationships with people and places.
NAE
provides us with the means to benefit from sensory attraction
discoveries we make while educating, counseling and healing with
nature, backyard or backcountry.
Online, NAE offers accredited,
organic, environment and psychology axioms, courses, jobs, grants
and degree programs that help us increase personal, social and
environmental well-being.
NAE results from fifty-five years of
natural system observation by hundreds of trained individuals who made
conscious sensory contact with natural areas. The outcomes of their
research is shared online in
<http://www.ecopsych.com/books.html>books, in
<http://www.ecopsych.com/2004artnews.html>studies and articles
and in <http://www.ecopsych.com>accredited coursework and Degree
programs.
The complete history of Natural Attraction Ecology,
the prejudice against it and its application of Ecopsychology since
1959 is described at http://www.ecopsych.com/ksanity.html and may be
downloaded at no cost. .

Educating, Counciling and Healing With Nature.
If these areas have a place to make a
review, comment or evaluation, please do so.
If you want to help in other
ways with public education, please let us know by email.
Then we can let you know what special opportunities may become
available. For example, you might be invited to write an article
but don't have the time. Let Project NatureConnect know and
somebody else might be interested, or vice versa.
In general, all you need to
do is one or more of the suggestions below. The best way to do
this is create and store announcements so you may quickly paste
one into an email or web page form whenever the occasion arises. 1. Please occasionally just
send a simple email to
an appropriate individual or organization that needs help or
guidance. Say something like:
"Are
you aware of the underlying psychological cause of most of the great
personal and environmental problems we face and how you can help reduce
it? http://www.naturalattractionecology.com or "Are you aware of the
powerful benefits from nature-connected learning? You may explore
them at http://www.ecopsych.com
or
Al Gore notes that personally,
socially and environmentally we are dysfunctional because our
thinking is disconnected from the grace balance and restorative
powers of nature and the natural. Would you be interested in
helping me help others and myself remedy this dilemma through
the nature-connected learning and healing tools at http://www.ecopsych.com?
or
"Would you like to use
a sensory process to increase personal, social and environmental
well-being? You can customize this tool to support your interests
and help you improve personal and environmental relationships.
Benefit from full information at http://www.ecopsych.com" and/or
2. Rewrite/edit/or create
a short introductory note
or letter that shows its reader the benefits nature-connected
learning offers in the reader's areas of interest. Many areas
of focus that you can use, are on our homepage http://www.ecopsych.com.
and/or
3. Write a brief self-history
and rationale that
explains why you are learning nature-connected psychology, how
it has been helpful and how it would be of service to a topic
being discussed in a person/journal/newspaper/blog.
This could also serve as a
letter to the Editor of a newspaper or other periodical or as
a letter of inquiry saying it is important that the Editor do,
or include, or accept a review from you, of www.ecopsych.com
and stating why.
and/or
4. Ask a web-site, organization, blog, or individual if
they are using nature-connected learning as described at http://www.ecopsych.com,
and how it is working for them, or if they could evaluate it
from their point of view as you are writing an article about
its contributions, or you are thinking about studying it.
and/or
5. Visit web sites, discussion
lists, news letters and
news groups whose topics are of interest to you and that would
benefit from using Organic Psychology books, courses or degree
programs.
Join one or two temporarily,
and as the opportunity presents itself, send appropriate individuals
a short note that motivates them to visit our home page at http://www.ecopsych.com
or one of our other pages you think might be of assistance to
them.
A good list of available articles
and letters is available at http://www.ecopsych.com/artnews.html
You could invite others to link to any one of them or re-publish them.
6. Help folks get involved
with the program through
the books. Develop a letter that contains parts of the book descriptions
that available at
http://www.ecopsych.com/newbook2007.html
http://www.ecopsych.com/2004wli.html
http://www.ecopsych.com/ksanity.html
7. Reminder: visit online book stores like Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Walden,
Borders and go to pages that announce Reconnecting With Nature
and/or Web of Life Imperative and/or Educating, Counciling and Healing With Nature. If they have a place to make a
comment or evaluation, please do so.
8. Look in the search engines under
keywords (like environmental education, nature, naturalist,
alternative, see the lists, below) and contact sites that appear in
that subject or keyword including
blogs,
discussion groups,
mailing lists,
discussion lists,
newsletters,
web sites,
book sales or review sites Join a group and post
an appropriate message when you can, directing it towards the
purpose of those you write. You can then stay and continue, or
quit the group and go on to another. You can also email an editor
or administrator from a web page contact address.
You can find groups at
http://groups.yahoo.com
http://www.asindexing.org/site/backndx.htm
Please let us know if you have
additional ideas or find additional web pages that help people
locate groups so we may list them here.
Below
are topics you could Google and locate appropriate individuals,
discussion lists or organizations to contact. In each setting you may
find a few advanced-thinking individuals who will thank you for
alerting them to the benefits of Project NatureConnect and
for strengthening the depth and effectiveness of their work.
