I was thinking the other day, how these online exercises have helped me hear a wise global voice from nature. My daily job and existence includes it and I feel so much more included with all that surrounds me. We are synching.
I do ask natural areas for permission to visit them, when I do, their voice feels even more attractive, I understand that to be consent, if I feel repelled or unwanted in any way, I take that as not having consent. I always am thankful to the area or individual for permission to relate to it and for whatever knowledge or engagement that takes place.
I voice thankfulness for my experiences with attractions in nature. Each every one has a unique truth, a voice that comes from the small daily encounters, with the cat, the flowers, the trees, the dragonflies, squirrels, rain, wind, sun, stars, moon, earth, humans and rocks. Unseen energies that speak to me in someway that are also nature (though many might call them supernatural), the water, the food I eat, the warmth I feel, the structures in my own body and mind that are voices in nature also that allow me to interact with all of what is nature.
Although having been integrated into Western society, I am evolving back into a creature of nature, recognizing my primal roots in the earth and beginning to walk the intellectually understood path of being in harmony and unity with all, so it is beginning to take hold in all my relationships with all things.
I am relieved that I can say that I have come further than intellectually understanding. Nature's voice has brought me into actually living much closer to the way I would like to live and believe I should live. Now, I don't hear and feel disturbed inner voices saying I am such a hypocrite. Like I used to feel. I know that I have a ways to go before I can fully engage the way I feel compelled to by the many conversations I have had with the trees, rocks and earth.
I do daily things like thank the food that I eat and all that created it for sustaining me, for its giving up its life to sustain mine. I speak to the animals and plants around my home daily, and the insects too. I always acknowledge the moon and stars when I can see them and thank them, and the sun as well. I always greet the storms when they come allowing the wind and rain to embrace me, or snow depending on the season. I let nature know that I love her, I let the earth speak to me and talk to it as well. I love to linger at the bottom of trees and listen to their whispers.
