Thank you for your interest in the well being of people and our at-risk living planet.
Do you think in these troubled times that you or I can afford to leave any valuable stone unturned?
For example:
We know that natural systems are self-correcting and that they constantly renew the well-being of the global plant, animal and mineral community.
To sustain well-being, natural systems flow through all of life. Too often we forget that this includes the life of our psyche.
However, natural systems today seldom correct the destructive parts of our psyche that produce our wide range of disorders. Industrial society excessively separates our body and mind from nature and the natural. We extensively live artificial, indoor non-organic lives.We suffer because we live extremely artificial, indoor non-organic lives. Over 98 percent of our time and thinking is disconnected from nature and the corrective ways of its systems.
Our profound separation from nature stops the restorative flow of natural systems through our psyche. No surprise, our thinking becomes dysfunctional. Many disorders that trouble us either appear or intensify due to our loss of conscious sensory contact with natural systems and their healing ways.
An applied science, the process of Organic Psychology, addresses our harmful disconnection from the natural. It enables us to genuinely reconnect our thinking and feeling to authentic nature, backyard or backcountry. There, natural systems, as only they can, help us jump-start and sustain their vital flow through our psyche. We think and feel better. Our troubles subside. Even a short walk in the park initiates this process. Organic Psychology enables us to strengthen and permanantly sustain it.
If we don't use Organic Psychology, even when we are immersed in a natural area, our relationship, technology and money problems usually fill our mind. We continue to think out of tune with how nature works so our problems continue, too.

I take for granted that you recognize information alone seldom produces the behavioral improvements we desperately need. Information, such as a cigarette warning label, does not modify the psychological bonds that feed our disorders. These bonds are misguided natural system functions.

In industrial society we personally and collectively betray the natural psychic pulse because we suffer from Natural System Dysfunction (NSD), a debilitating relationship disorder. NSD erodes our ability to sustain well-being and peace by eliminating more than 90 percent of the sensory expression and wisdom of natural systems that normally register in our natural consciousness. This profound loss desensitizes our psyche and limits our thinking. It underlies the great troubles we suffer (1, 4).
