Sensory Attraction Education:
The natural systems thinking process validates
that the strings of the web of life are actually natural
attractions, sensory loves that pervade nature. Every atom and its
nucleus consists of, expresses and relates through natural attractions.
Atomic attractions build our attractive world and hold it together. All
of nature, including us, contains these attractions. They are an essence
of every object and thing. Many attractions register in our consciousness
and psyche as sensations we call senses. For example: as natural loves
for sight, touch, and sound; as our attractions to water (including thirst),
color and community; as attachments for nurturing, belonging and trust,
as affinities for contact with nature, for wholeness. If you do not believe
these natural senses are attractive parts of yourself, simply ask yourself
"Which of them do I want to give up?"
Our nature disconnected beliefs too often identify our sensory selves
as our "stupid mind" or "immature thinking." In rebuttal,
the sensory experiences of the natural systems thinking process clearly
bring to mind the balanced, life sustaining intelligence and beauty of
the web within and around us. Our experiences in nature tell a more accurate
and believable story as we learn to trust them. For example:
"In Scotland, as was their ancient custom, farmers were overturning
hay bales to exterminate the rats that lived beneath them. A trio of rats
tried to flee but, unlike the other fleeing rats, these three were attracted
to staying closely together which limited their ability to escape. This
attracted the farmers. Upon investigation, they found that the middle rat
of the three was blind, its companions were guiding it to safety while
risking their own. Deeply moved, the farmers felt attracted to sparing
the lives of these rats. Instead of killing them, in awe and unity they
honored them (g/g)."
Natural people and things think and love through at least 53 distinct
natural attraction sensitivities. Each is a sensory
string whose major attribute is its attraction to naturally blend with
other strings for greater sensibility, unity and common good. Nature helps
create, sustain and balance life through these 53 sensitivities in concert.
They are Nameless, Intelligent, Attractions we experience as Loves (NIAL).
To our loss, our separation from nature and NIALS (NIAL Strings) educates
us to think and relate with less than six of these natural senses. We operate
in deNIAL.
"Nothing is more indisputable than our senses."
-Jean Le Rond d'Alembert
To reverse our destructive ways, we must find and use a powerful, accurate
tool. The natural systems thinking process is effective because it brings
us into the present moment, the only time we can think using the most trustable truth of
our lives. It enables us to let the 53 strands of our sensory inner self
psychologically plug directly into their attractions in nature and, energized
from connections to their origins, come into our consciousness and thinking.
Through this connection, nature's ways and vibrancy recharge us and guide
our intellect. You can feel it happening.
Using the natural systems thinking process increases our sensibility,
balance and wellness, we feel good and our outlooks improve
(g/g).
Anybody who has enjoyed a good experience in nature has sensed this phenomenon.
By using the sensory reconnecting activities of the natural systems thinking
process people engage in an applied science that is constantly available
to them. They own the activities once they learn them. It has been documented that
the process dissolves our bonds to our destructive relationships and re-bonds
our thinking to practices that produce beneficial social and environmental
relationships (g/g).
"The senses, being the explorers of the world, open the way to
knowledge.
-Maria Montessori
Psychologically, our excessive disconnection from the web of life is
like tearing an arm from our body. It hurts. We bury the hurt by placing
it in our subconscious where we can't feel it until certain relationships
aggravate it.
Just as nature can reattach a severed arm when it is held properly in
place to the body, psychologically the natural systems thinking process
tangibly dispells our hurt by feelingly rejoining our detached old brain
mentality to its origins in the sensory wisdom and ways of the strings.
It taps into authentic nature's intelligence and relieves stress while
giving natural areas added value as healing agents. Pulitzer-Prize winning
sociobiologist Dr. Edward O. Wilson, of Harvard, affirms that people have
an inherent biological need to be in contact with nature. He says that
Nature holds the key to our aesthetic, intellectual, cognitive, and even
spiritual satisfaction. Robert Theobald, Robert Muller, Larry Dossey and
many others have examined and endorsed
the process.
SUMMARY G:
The natural systems thinking process enables
us to create moments that let some of the 53 attraction strands of our
sensory self plug into their origins in nature and, energized there, come
into our consciousness and thinking.
OPTIONAL: On a piece
of paper, record the SUMMARY letter above (A: B: C, etc.) along with the
numbers (below) that indicate your agreement with the summary statement
a) as a stated truth and b) as something you practice in your daily life.
Note how you feel about the difference between your a-score and b-score
if there is one.
