THE REDUCTION OF INSANITY: OPENING MY MIND TO
NATURE'S MAGIC, MYSTERY AND FULFILLMENT I
have noticed my use of PNC skills growing on a daily basis.
For
this I am so grateful, as it will help me keep my sanity as I fill my
days with busyness that I most likely will take way too
seriously. Thank you my online friends for understanding, and
supporting.
R.D. Laing quote: "Insanity is a
perfectly rational adjustment to an insane world". As
I read this to the large maple tree in the park, I felt the insanity of
my day -the unneeded frustrations, the annoyances, the pressure to
perform unnatural duties in an unnatural environment- drain from my
body, and be soaked in by the landscape as to recycle it into useful,
clean air to breath and restore.
I laid in
the grass under
the large oak tree. I felt awkward communicating without
permission, as I had become so accustom to do now. I found
many
attractions in the area, but what I really felt drawn to was the sense
of serenity, harmony, and peace that I felt in this
place, as though time were standing still. Even the
people
walking and riding their bikes on the nearby path, were one with my
moment, and added to the peaceful unity of the landscape. In turn from
this space and moment in time I received responses of; confirmation,
peace, tranquility, breath, and comfort.
Later that
evening I
some friends stopped by to visit. My friend Rachel and I have
always be intuitively connected, and I see her as a large part of my
natural and spiritual support. I just looked into her eyes
and
began telling her all the wonderful things that she had contributed to
my life. I felt awkward once again because she was not ready
for
me to do this, and I felt uncomfortable demanding this attention from
her. I did enjoy exploring all the things that we had shared
together to create such a united relationship. Rachel
responded with
a "Wow", a "Thank you", and a "What was that?". She had felt
a
bit intimidated by stepping into her emotional space without asking,
but felt comfort in that I had good intentions, and was positive.
I
used things that were directly sharing my space with me in this moment,
and that I found in my friend Rachel. 1. Oak tree = shade,
strength, longevity 2. Squirrel = quick, focused, intelligent,
nimble 3. Rhododendron = flashy, colorful, hearty, dependable. 4.
Sunshine = comforting, warm, energetic. 5. Clean air = life,
sustainable, giving, restorative, tranquil. 6. A moment in
time = pure, subjective, quiet, whimsical, harmonious. 7. Big
long hugs = supportive, connecting, the power of human touch. 8.
Clear brown eyes = clarity, engaging, wonderment, love 9.
Conversations about faeries = imagination, connection with the spirits
of nature, creativity, supporting inner beauty, and beliefs. 10.
Growing food = sustenance, connecting plants and humans, communicating
through the sense of life, and hunger, generosity, support, love.
I
learned and love to engage in a moment for what that moment has to
offer so that I may connect with the peace that nature is providing,
and be reminded to not take life so seriously, and love each moment
that is awarded to us as we naturally attract to it.
I
am
beginning to feel my sense and sanity strengthen, my inner authorities
weaken, and my mind opening to the magic, mystery and fulfillment that
these activities bring to life. My true being is awakened by the
process of my thinking and feeling connecting to nature.
Act now.
