Job 12:8 With respect to love and Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I believe this quotation summarizes so much of what this Organic Psychology course and connecting with nature are about: allowing ourselves to be taught, relinquishing all that we have learned previously about what it means to be fulfilled, peaceful, intelligent, successful. We have developed an even stronger appreciation and bond and understanding of our innate nature, because we have been taught by the greatest of teachers, nature herself. We have learned to appreciate silence, color, change, detail, intimacy with our closest of kin. We have discovered metaphors that describe ourselves in a different light, a more truthful light, because Nature has provided the mirror--and we have looked into it, perhaps for the first time. Beautiful Sunday weather today. Warm sun, blue sky. I taste every bit of this as I will soon leave, what has been home for six years. And it has truly been a relationship with the sky and clouds and sea and birds--and brilliant color. So I return to my comfortable beach, a porcelain blue horizon beyonda turquoise sea, seabirds scattered from their migratory return, and here I answer the questions, for myself, that I created for my students this year. Does it make sense for you to feel peace and happiness? Nothing could make more sense, and I have been striving for internal peace and contentment my entire life. Here, on the sand, it is given as a gift--the sea says "be happy, you have no worries." The birds dare me to observe their activity and way of living. It not only makes sense to feel peace and be happy, but it is an entitlement--for every human being--or at least should be. Does it make sense for people to feel a global-local-personal unity? It makes sense for people to feel this, and the world would change dramatically if people did feel this, but I'm afraid people are living in their own small cosmos, either at the survival level of existence, or at a narcissistic one--but in their own world. This is why change comes slowly...people have to be jolted out of their sleepwalking. Does it make sense for you and others to experience nature's nameless intelligence attraction love systems (NIALS)? It makes perfect sense for me and others to experience NIALS and therefore feel complete and loved, not in a state of wanting. It is so accessible yet out of reach for so many. People on this planet are seeking NIALS without knowing its name and so addictions and other replacements are sought instead. Teaching and awareness are the key. Who wouldn't feel unloved when one is disconnected from everything that is real? Does it make sense to support the wrangler and the ongoing war against NIALS? Right now, for corporations, nothing makes more sense than to support this war. Oil companies are making huge profits like never before, while people are struggling to pay high gas prices. Developers are wealthy while depleting organisms and ecosystems. For those who support NIALS and our very breath, we do not support the wrangler mentality of war against the weak or whatever cannot fight back, for profit. If you had a choice, what kind of life and world would you want for yourself? Above all I want peace and peaceful productivity. I want peace globally and personally. It begins within oneself, for how can world peace ensue when there is turbulence within individuals? Again, the world and nature are our subconscious. Roots need to be pulled to eradicate this war once and for all, and seeds of love and peace need to take root and sprout. It is happening, slowly, and sometimes with huge setbacks. When a government doesn't model ethical responsibility towards Planet Earth, how can one expect every citizen to? The effort, struggle is harder. But it starts with a consciousness of NIALS, and reconnection with our beautiful, living, breathing Mother Earth. Isn't that the root of Martin Luther King's dream.
