Education, Counseling and Healing with Nature Online Program Produces Income for South Dakota Practioners, Co-Sponsors and Representatives

To complete the activity, I entered my local nature preserve, asking permission to "enter to appreciate, and, after feeling the peace that comes from knowing that I intend to connect and appreciate, I hiked to the bench overlooking the little creek, surrounded on all sides by trees and other wildlife. I closed my eyes and repeated the words, "natural attraction, with my breathing for what I thought to be about ten minutes, but turned out to be about 25"I lost all track of time! Then, I opened my eyes and did the same thing for about ten more minutes. I left the preserve thanking it for allowing me to experience its beauty and connection.
Upon entering the preserve, taking the time to request permission to enter, I felt my senses already heightened even while hiking to the bench. Once there, with my eyes closed, I felt my body senses melt into the presence of the woods, with the sounds, motions, pressures, and sense of belonging. Although I found myself recalling some of the week,s activities, concerns, and anxieties, I was able to, with the words, "natural attraction, synchronized with my breathing, refocus on being present in nature. A significant point came when, upon listening to the crying of a crow and another higher pitched bird high in the tops of the trees, my senses soared to the sky, followed by a sensory recognition of my feet touching the ground, held by gravity. I felt myself as a link between the Earth below and the sky above"and the way that energy passed through me. While in that state, the words and notes of a Carolyn McDade song went through me: "Roots hold me close, Wings set me free, Spirit of Life, Come to me, Come to me.
I enjoyed experiencing the sensory attractions, while attempting to "keep the experience nameless. I left my visit to the nature preserve feeling a sense of wholeness, peace, and connection. I did not expect the musical natural attraction to be triggered the way it was. It seems to me that, when we open ourselves to the natural attractions, we may not always know just where it might lead, but we can count on the experience to enhance our sense of wholeness and connection.I had an interesting dream during past few days which might be good to mention as a a wholeness with nature dream!.. I was under a beautiful fall in a natural area and enjoying the water which was falling up above the high rocks. The interesting part was that I was able to control the temperature of the water by a faucet like we all have in our bathroom. That was a nice feeling as the water was not too cold. By following my attractions I could regulate my relationship with nature so that it was safe and supportive.
