I've been home mothering my children for 11years now, and have been feeling a bit restless. So, I keyed into the computer, Cutting Edge Nature Based Education, and here is where I ended up. Here on this online course with you! I feel very lucky .
I have read the reports of former students and I thought I'd share with you what I learned about the program from them.
"The experience here helped me improve my personal life" This statement is the most important of all. I believe that if one improves the self first, then their contribution to the world around them improves. Know Thyself. Improving the Self is a lifelong journey and anything I come in contact with can teach me to grow in some way. I am sure this course is going to definitely help me grow.
Organic Psychology can be added to any discipline, It is universal. I think the more people you reach, the more powerful the information. Nature encompasses the whole. Every human can benefit form learning about themselves through each other and their environment. I personally enjoy working with young children. Their innocence and eagerness to learn is most enjoyable.To be able to love the natural community is the first step to be active and to find solutions for environmental problems What you often give is what you get. Whatever we focus on seems to grow. Therefore, if we are focusing on loving someone or the environment, most often it will give back appreciation. If you are constantly badmouthing your coworkers, you most definitely are not creating a harmonious environment. If you water your plant and take care of it, it grows. More love, more environmental happiness.
The whole country has gotten out of control. I like to write my thoughts and a term I use often for numb human beings, is Zombods. It seems as though people have forgotten who they are and sleepily hand themselves over to the mass tide of power and fear. The medical industry is the worse and the education system, the judicial system......on and on..... The biggest industry in our country is the drug industry. It's frightening to see what is happening to the elderly and the children especially. There are children waiting in lines to the nurses office to get their meds. So sad. And to see my grandmother half there, as she pops here many pills for this and that. I'm a very angry at the whole situation.I actually had a chief of police at my doorstep at 1:30 in the morning telling me if I don't go back to the hospital with my 8 month old daughter( 10 years ago) that they would take her from me. All this disrespect, because I would not administer her steroids when she had the croup. It was an unbelievable experience. My Mom suggested to go to the hospital in Maine where I birthed her. It was in the afternoon that we went and thought it would be good to see the midwives and have a check on Lily. But, what I learned most from the whole experience was to trust myself and my own intuition over anyone. Not my Mother, not the doctor, who was probably only in her early twenties. There was a lot more to the whole thing.
This PNC work could shift a lot of major areas in our country. We need to wake up and trust how things feel and act on them. Not accept the unacceptable. I believe we can bust the systems in a loving way, but it is not easy. And there is a lot of resistance to those who breed on power and greed. Reaching the business community is a necessity at this point. We need to get out of our little boxes and breathe and be thankful for the sun. Not market fear and helplessness.
