Conference
July 26-30, 1999 on San Juan Island, Washington
You are invited to a five day Project NatureConnect learning/teaching
conference designed for beginning through advanced students. This conference,
held July 26-30, 1999 on San Juan Island, Washington, will combine lessons
taught by Dr. Cohen, with an opportunity for participants to practice
their skills at teaching Reconnecting with Nature, and a chance for all
to learn from the growing expertise of peers.
STUCTURE OF CONFERENCE DAYS:
Dr. Cohen will work with participants for half a day during the five
day Conference, leading them to experience the Island
as a preliterate organ of organism earth (Gaia) and themselves as part
of it.
Participants will spend the remaining half of the day discussing how
they are using the NSTP to create G/G stories in their personal and professional
lives and demonstrating techniques they may have developed. Each participant
will have the opportunity to present a workshop, lecture/discussion, or
demonstration of how they have woven NSTP with their personal talents
to create a more nature connected way of being. Those new to PNC
will discover the richness and diversity of PNC as they share these lessons
and activities with the advanced students.
All Conference gatherings will be held in connection with the richness
of the flourishing, pristine environment of the San Juan Islands.
Individuals enrolled in the degree programs may receive credit hours
for their participation in the Conference. This must be arranged with
Dr. Cohen in advance of the Conference. A donation of $50 to PNC is requested.
Interested parties should contact Chuck
McClintock or Dr.Michael
Cohen to enroll.
