Our material and sensory-emotional self is a function of the grace, balance and restorative power of natural systems. For this reason, we are best satisfied by contact with nature.
We suffer our greatest problems because our thinking has been trained to obtain sensory-emotional fulfillments from relationships that, unlike nature, have detrimental side effects. We must correct this destructive habit of ours.We must learn to thoughtfully gain worthwhile fulfillment by making conscious sensory contact with natural systems, within and about us. To this end, an Organic Psychology enabling tool is readily available.
RECONNECTING WITH NATURE UPDATE CONTENT:
Although humans evolved in the self-correcting wilds of nature, on average, in industrial society over 95 percent of our time is spent indoors. In addition, more than 99 percent of our thinking is disconnected from nature. To our loss, we live extremely nature-separated lives.
Our profound estrangement from nature deprives our thinking of the balancing grace, beauty and restorative powers of natural systems within and around us. They seldom touch our mind or heart. In their absence, we become psychologically dependent on, and subject to, the ways of industrial society including its destructive materialism, stress, competition and pollutants.
Our disconnection from nature's healing properties makes us exceptionally vulnerable to industrial society's psychological pollution of our mind.
Nature consists of its life-supportive perfection that produces no garbage. Our severance from nature is similar to removing a baby from its mother's breast and replacing it with a nipple on a bottle of beer. The child's physical and emotional attachment to its mother, along with its inborn passion for life, becomes, instead, attached to the unfulfilling limits of the beer and bottle.
How we think and feel powerfully shapes our lives. Our thinking is our destiny and, excessively separated from nature's wisdom, it is presently dysfunctional. It is destructively programmed by the "beer bottle" relationships of our nature-deficient lives.
The well-being of Earth and ourselves suffers from our sensory deprivation. We have lost conscious feelingful contact with the cooperative natural attractions that are inherent in natural systems within and around us. However, a new, educating counseling and healing with nature remedy offers hope.
