Are you speechless when you look up at the sky on a clear night and see the Milky Way strewn with stars or when you see waves crashing on a rocky shore or hear wind rustling through the tree boughs? Are you elated by the energy and creativity of existence? Nature often leads to a relationship among the elements of creation, among people with other people, and between people and the environment. Building awareness of yourself and your surroundings is building relationship. Nature provides a gathering place that inspires the art and spirit of creativity. Is there an underlying spiritual process relating to nature where the artist's creative process is an emotionally guided intuitive one that deepens through the personal and intellectual connections that serve "the mind and heart of human kind?" The cooperation of various elements in cosmic and human connections is so exquisite that the process of participation can be seen as a creative one. Through nature, spirituality transcends the artist. When we sense the appreciation of inner beauty and the beauty of the entire universe inspiration manifests itself as awe, or the sense of sacredness. We begin to feel better, our thoughts change for the better, we begin to look at the problems around us and realize that many of them are simply disguised opportunities. Natural inspiration focuses attention on the positive side of life, uplifting, strengthening our resolve, providing a guiding light, brightening our day and our future like getting a breath of fresh air. Creativity can be a garden rooted in the Earth where everything is both a constraint and/or an opportunity, interconnected between the creative person, the creative product, the creative process, and/or environment displaying a special outlook on wisdom, creativity and intelligence. It is a constant holistic process that human contribution as a trace composer enhances. Some of the deepest learning and wisdom comes from the artist whose mind unfolds the quickening power released by nature's transcendent and resplendent spirit. Earth provides mentoring of sensory awareness, this cultivates a connection of altered states of consciousness produced by rites of passage. It gives each individual their way to go inside and examine the programming that leaves tension, stress, wounds, old stories and fear that hold the individual back from reaching their full potential. This ultimately contributes a person's real gift and talents to the community they were born to share. Earth Day is a day to take time to think about what inspires you.
