In consultation with an associated University, to increase the benefits of the AE/IE Degree Program, students take at least the first 75% of all coursework ( 36 credits) through the University faculty member Dr. Michael J. Cohen and the IGE Graduate Student Cooperative. This section usually includes the minimum 30 credits of core courses and electives that are required to be an enrolled student. The additional courses you need to take varies because it is based on the number of applicable transfer courses you bring into the program.

Upon satisfactory completion of the 36 IGE credits, a student in good standing completes the remaining 12 credits of their program at IGE and/or online with the Applied Ecopsychology/Integrated Ecology Department at the University. Here students continue under the tutalege of Dr. Cohen, University Lead Faculty, throughout the final courses of the Doctoral. program. The final project or thesis of the Doctorate will be evaluated by a dissertation committee comprised of University Faculty. Tuition is paid directly to the University for the 12 credits of concluding courses and services.
