INTELLIGENCE
Most knowledgeable people consider Planet
Earth to be an act of genius by the Universe and/or God. Like
a living organism, through natural attraction energies, Earth
organizes itself to edit the light, heat and particle flow from
the sun and cosmos. This makes possible an optimim of life to
flourish in balance while sustaining an optimum of diversity
and cooperation, too. The Earth community intelligently accomplishes
this by recycling and regenerating substances and relationships
without producing garbage or pollution. In Earth's natural systems,
war, abusiveness, and insanity are virtually unknown. Seen from
the moon, Earth is a marvelous, gigantic ball of intelligence,
a glowing orchestra constantly performing a peaceful symphony
of color and silence in motion. Some believe Earth is a wise,
fertilized, egg of the Universe.
UNINTELLIGENCE
Intelligence as most of us practice
it is unintelligent because it is out of synch with the life
giving creation wisdom of our planetary home. The way we think
deteriorates Earth and its ability to support life, including
our lives.
Two people producing 24 grandchildren
is poor mathematics if you don't want to destructively overpopulate
the Planet
Economic growth based on resource depletion
is insane when the resource is your life support system.
Knowledgeably producing harmful chemical
substances that poison the planet life system is stupid.
Our thinking is sick when we use fuels
to the point that they increase the temperature of the living
planet and give it a fever.
It is dumb to damage ecosystems and
erode their habitats.
It is assanine to elect leaders who
refuse to act intelligently with regard to helping Earth sustain
its and our integrity.

The Eco-Sensory IQ test.
An opportunity to discover if you are a maverick genius in
contemporary society and, if so, how to use this to your advantage
while improving the quality of life.
Background:
The way most members of Western Civilization think has resulted
in altering the ability of Planet Earth to sustain life in balance.
In the past 200 years our intelligence has devestated natural
plant, animal and people populations as well as depleted and
polluted the soil, water and air. With respect to the global
life community, we are knowledgeably producing the same holocaust
we inflicted on Native American and extinct biological populations
and we can't stop. As recent elections confirm, we want to increase
our consumption of energy and goods at the expense of the natural
world.
The profound stupidity and inhumanity of our relationship
with Mother Nature so deeply pains our consciousness that we
are psychologically in denial of our madness. To protectively
hide our destructive effects from ourselves, we proudly call
what we do "progress," "economic growth"
and the "American way of life." Most people are intelligent
enough to recognize that it is destructive in the long run, but
lack the level of consciousness needed to stop it.
Nature supports, not destroys, itself in the long run. As
part of nature, people are born with the natural intelligence
to do likewise. Most cultures of the world have done this over
the the millennia. The learnt to think with their natural intelligence
while Western Civilization thinks of wasys to alter it.
Altered Intelligence
In 1974, after two months of being kidnapped and brainwashed
by extremests, the consciousness and thinking of an American
graduate student, Patti Hearst, transformed dramatically. From
being an excellent scholar and constructive campus citizen at
the University of California, Patti became an active, gun slinging
member of a group of militant murderers with a political agenda.
Many times she could easily have escaped from them. She didn't
simply because she had learned, under duress , to consider it
intelligent to join the violence group in story, feelings and
actions .
Ms. Hearst was finally arrested, prosecuted and jailed along
with the gang. She was later forgiven because authorities determined
that she had been brainwashed into doing what she did. She has
not acted that way since.
Brainwashing is a process that contaminates a person's intelligence
and ability to think clearly. Things that define the brainwashing
process include that it:
- Takes an authoritarian and hierarchical stance.
- Imposes a doctrine over person.
- Restricts full awareness on the part of the learner.
- Rewards a person for thinking a certain way and punishes
them when they don't.
- Uses an instructional mode to persuade.
- Controlls a person's time and, if possible, physical environment.
- Creaties a sense of powerlessness, covert fear, and dependency.
- Suppressses much of the person's old behavior and attitudes.
- Instills new behavior and attitudes.
- Usies mystical manipulation.
- Puts forth a closed system of logic
- Allows no real input or criticism.
The case has been made that with respect to intelligently
living in balance with nature and Earth, people in contemporary
society have been destructively brainwashed to fear, conquer
and destroy nature against their better judgement. Like Ms. Hearst,
we find ourselves unable to change without a radical form of
assistance. Most of our destructive technologies, lifestyles
and relationships reflect our anti-nature cultural training.
During our 18 formative childhood years, our innate ability
to think clearly with respect to living constructively with nature
and people is far more brainwashed than was Patti Hearst during
her two month capture. Throughout childhood and most of our lives
we are victims of:
- Education that takes place indoors; it is required for twelve
formative childhood years and strongly encouraged for an additional
4-6 years of higher education.
- The doctrine of most science and religion: to survive we
must conquer and subdue nature.
- To spend over 95% of our lives indoors.
- Over 99.9% of our thinking being disconnected from sensory
contact with the non-verbal process by which nature produces
its balance and peace. We are "in tune" with nature
less than 12 hours/lifetime, on average.
- Worshiping a God that lives in Heaven, not on Earth. We become
spiritually detached from the environment and believe humanity
is devinely superior to all other forms of life.
- Rewards from high grades, approval and money for being good
citizens of a society that is separated from nature. We delude
ourselves into believing that we can intelligently manage the
world, grind nature into cultural resources, improve the land,
and impose artificial systems on the natural.
- Disapproval for truancy, low grades, and low-technology relationships.
Exceptions to the rule:
Throughout the history of our civilization, some individuals
have not completely fallen prey to our cultural brainwashing.
Some, have somewhat survived it or, like Ms Hearst, recovered
from it. If you have read this far, chances are you may unknowingly
be one of them. These individuals display an exceptionally high
ecological intelligence (IQ) and are sometimes acknowledged as
"maverick" geniuses. The quality of their thinking
is often admired but it is seldom integrated by popular culture
in its quest to overcome nature.
NOTE: From books of quotations and the internet, in an eight
hour period we collected the statements that appear on the IQ
test. There are a great many other statements that are similar;
all are and have been accessable since their original publication.
You can be sure that some of the teachers and administrators
of our education system were exposed to these statements during
their education. That they may not have included these statements
in most people's education further reflect's our brainwashing
against nature.
INTRODUCTION:
Many people who are attracted to this webpage visit here because
they have a hidden but high ecological IQ. Often they neither
know how to validate this intelligence nor how to fully put it
to work for themselves and society. Many have been slighted for
displaying it. Deep inside they sometimes consider themselves
different or strange because of how they intuitively think and
feel. The preface to this IQ test
explores this phenomenon. If it is of interest to you, visit
the preface now then return here.
To discover how much of your ecological intelligence is intact,
take the Eco-Sensory IQ Test. It consists of 70 questions but
you can optionally get a general reading after the first 20 questions.
The Test will help you support and put your natural genius
to work for the benefit of yourself and the global life community.
A special feature of this IQ test is that as you take it you
will automatically increase your intelligence.
This IQ Test results from the observation that the anti-nature
programming and prejudice we receive from our nature disconnected
society produces our greatest troubles.
The heart of our unsolvable problems is psychological.
We are in denial.
We deny that we are addicted to
living out a destructive story.
We seldom understand that our education secretly teaches: "To
survive we must conquer, exploit and subdue nature within and
around us"
"It is difficult to get people to understand something
when their salary depends upon
them not understanding it."
- Upton Sinclair
A SUMMARY STATEMENT OF THE PREFACE
MATERIAL
Nature is intelligent. People are part of nature and vice
versa. We inherit nature's intelligence. Our civilization conditions
us to abusively conquer nature in the environment and people.
However, throughout history, in some people our inborn natural
intelligence has survived this and expressed itself.
Question: What number represents your agreement
with the Summary statement ?

ECO-SENSORY PERCEPTION
The ECO-SENSORY INTELLIGENCE
TEST
Purpose: Discover how much of your natural intelligence has
survived the deadening impact of Western Culture's conquest of
nature.
Object: Learn if you are intelligent enough to recognize the
ancient psychological and spiritual importance of emotionality,
passion, and sensitivity in sustaining responsible personal and
environmental relationships.
This test is offered solely as an educational tool. The word
ed-u-ca-tion comes from educare meaning "to
draw out from within.'
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Prepare an answer sheet of paper with the numbers 0-10,
11-20, 21-30 etc. written on it in 7 columns, 10 numbers/column.
2. Read, in order, the 70 quotes and statements on this and
the following linked pages.
3. Note the length of time some statement's message has been
known to our society.
4. Recognize that the message of each statement that you understand
exists somewhere within your cultural or natural heritage, otherwise
you would not be able to understand it.
5, Signify on the indicator that accompanies each statement,
the extent of agreement you think/feel/have for the statement.
Place this number next to the question number on your answer
sheet.
Here is a sample question and responder:
It is a fact of life that our senses, feelings and emotions
are facts of life. They are as much a part of nature and our
nature as is the land, sea and air. For example: the sensation
of thirst is as real and true as water itself.

delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal
desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task
must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles
of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of
nature in its beauty."

I feel that nothing can befall me in life--no disgrace, no calamity

"Are you engaged in using
your Eco IQ to its best advantage? Are you forging and helping
others forge a sustainable consciousness of the emotional
bonds with nature that we inherit, attraction bonds that connect
us to each other and the environment? When conscious, these bonds
enable our thinking to safely and intelligently dissolve the
apathy and fear that keep us in denial. The latter prevent us
from acting effectively with respect to our greatest personal
and environmental problems."

COMPLETION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Total your
section average page scores and divide that total by the number
of pages you completed.
2.
Because it is unintelligent to not use your Eco IQ to
its best advantage, multiply your score in "C" above
with your page score total in 1.
3. Add a percentage
sign to the results in 2. That percentage represents the percentage
of your inherent ecosensory intelligence that you presently use
to think and build relationships. It is your EcoSensory IQ
4. If you want to increase your scores and use
your Eco IQ to help solve the critical problems we face personally
and globally, consider enrolling in the 3-week Natural System
Thinking Process (NSTP) Orientation
Course.
"We have dramatically increased our program's effectiveness
by adding the Natural Systems Thinking Process
to it. It enables our participants to connect with their
sensory origins in nature and use that peaceful power to improve
their relationships with self, society and the environment. "
- James Rowe, Director, Outward Bound School, Costa
Rica
"The results of using Natural Systems
Thinking Process were even happier, more practical and lasting
than those for participants in the "Survivor" TV shows.
We did not compete for a million dollars but what wealth we gained!
Using local natural areas, we learned how to sustainably live
in supportive balance with each other and the environment. We
were all winners, as will be those with whom we share the nature
reconnecting process."
- Carol Biggs, Counselor-Naturalist, Juneau, Alaska
